Dr. Zahra Baradaran-Seyed, DVM, MPH, MBA, DVSc/PhD is a veterinarian who specializes in large animal internal medicine. She currently works as a research assistant professor at the Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute, a biopharmaceutical manufacturer that produces a range of biological products, including vaccines for humans and animals.
Zahra's professional expertise spans more than a decade. She has taught large animal clinical skills, epidemiology, and qualitative and quantitative research methods and conducted clinical and field trials on large animal infectious diseases. She also has extensive experience controlling epidemics and handling unexpected events, having worked with multidisciplinary teams in various fields, such as universities, the livestock industry, and vaccine companies.
Besides her professional expertise, Zahra is highly adaptable and possesses remarkable cultural and social intelligence, allowing her to excel in new situations and quickly accomplish her objectives. She is also a renowned expert in finding and critically evaluating information, grading evidence, communicating risks effectively, and encouraging behavioral change in her audience. Furthermore, she strongly advocates for One-Health policies in Iran, having contributed to designing the DrPH curriculum to promote the "One-Health" concept. She has also published various materials and presented on implementing the One-Health and global health governance.
