Velma Kivali is a seasoned researcher with over ten years of extensive experience in laboratory and field settings focused on infectious diseases. With a solid foundation in epidemiology, zoonotic disease research, and food safety, Velma is deeply passionate about One Health research. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Technology from the University of Nairobi and a Master of Science in Global Health and Infectious Diseases from the University of Edinburgh. She is in the final year of her PhD in Biomedical Sciences at the Free University of Berlin.
