Short Bio
I am a virologist with extensive experience in the molecular virology of flaviviruses and in biosafety. I obtained my PhD in 2016 from the University of Trieste and subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher and later as a Research Associate in the Molecular Virology Laboratory of ICGEB (Trieste) leaded by Dr. Alessandro Marcello. Currently, I manage the institute’s Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) facility, overseeing high-containment research operations and ensuring compliance with international biosafety standards. In addition to managing the facility, I have trained numerous scientists in biosafety practices and the proper use of BSL-3 laboratories, and I actively supervise PhD students and postdoctoral researchers.
