Short Bio
Stacie Dunkle is an epidemiologist at the World Health Organization (WHO) working to strengthen workforce capacity for field epidemiology and One Health. She believes that building cross-sectoral collaboration is essential for developing our understanding of zoonotic disease transmission and other multisectoral health threats. Dr. Dunkle is a licensed veterinarian with masters’ degrees in geological sciences and public health. She is a graduate of the Epidemic Intelligence Service at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and a diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Preventive Medicine. Over the past 16 years, she has lived and worked in the United States, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Europe, with organizations including CDC, the US Department of Agriculture, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and WHO.
