Dr Martinez-Orellana is a Veterinary surgeon from Chile, with a PhD in Immunology earned at the Center for Animal Health Research (CReSA) in Barcelona, Spain, working on H1N1 pandemic influenza A virus. Her postdoc at Veterinary Faculty, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona standardizing clinical-diagnostic and therapeutic tools for Leishmania prognosis and prevention. Currently she is working on projects related to the virus host -cell interaction during SARS-CoV-2 and TBEV infection as Research collaborator at ICGEB. Pamela has a background in virus immunology and she is highly experienced in handling pathogenic respiratory viruses and animal infection in a BSL3 environment.
