Short Bio
Nidhi Mehrotra is a Registered Patent Agent in India. Currently, she is associated with Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law, IIT Kharagpur, India as a Senior Research Scholar. Her doctoral study relates to Drug Regulations and their implementation. Particularly, the study focuses on Clinical Trial Regulations. She has obtained an LL.M. degree with a specialization in IPR from IIT Kharagpur, India and holds a B.Sc.LL.B. degree. She has keen interest in areas of Drug Regulation, Medical Law and ethics, and Intellectual Property Rights. She has recently been part of the 20th ASLI Conference (2023), 21st ASLI Conference (2024), 5th IPIRA Conference (2023). Her recent publications include original article with Medical Law Review (OUP) on "Post-trial access to investigational drugs in India: addressing challenges in the regulatory framework" (https://doi.org/10.1093/medlaw/fwad028), and with Springer on “Emergency Approval Mechanisms for Human Vaccines in India” (https://doi.org/10.1007/s40290-023-00513-8).
