Short Bio
I am a female medical doctor, public health specialist, and management specialist. Former Expanded Program on Immunization manager and leader, Health Sector Public Private Partnership Coordinator, and Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Officer. I have vast experience in technical skills, planning, budgeting, costing exercises, monitoring and evaluation, team building, supervision, decision-making facilitation, advocacy, and resource mobilization for public health interventions. I believed in and practiced gender mainstreaming and equality public health interventions. I have coordinated immunization services as a program manager and surveillance officer and have developed various technical and policy-guiding documents. One Health Approach is another area in which I spent more time as a focal person from the health sector and I was a member of the Steering Committee for One Health for Central and East Africa (OHCEA). Familiar with One Health interventions as I participated in sensitization sessions, and training including the development of training materials and One Health Strategic Plan.
My experience includes working with various stakeholders from government, UN organizations, international organizations, NGOs, and the private sector. As an Emergency Preparedness and Response Officer in the health sector, I have adequate experience in preparedness activities, responding to emergencies, and recovery activities. I am familiar with the health sector's emergency/disaster risk management system and health system.
