Short Bio

Luise is an environment and health researcher with a Master’s in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a Master’s in Molecular Biotechnology from Heidelberg University. She is interested in One Health and Planetary Health. As first author, she has published in journals like Environmental Research and Science of the Total Environment. She has collected laboratory, fieldwork, international organizations, industry, as well as epidemiological research experiences internationally. Now as a doctoral researcher at the Climate-Sensitive Infectious Disease Lab Heidelberg, she is analyzing the interconnections of antimicrobial resistance, climate change, and (plastic) pollution focusing on aquatic systems.
