Short Bio
Dr. Hind Ezzine is an International Public Health Consultant with a robust background in medical and public health fields. She earned her medical degree from the Faculty of medicine and pharmacy in Rabat in 2001 and her Master’s degree from the National School of Public Health in Morocco in 2014. Dr. Ezzine also holds a Ph.D. in Public Health and Epidemiology from the Faculty of Sciences in Rabat, Morocco. Additionally, she is a graduate of the Advanced Field Epidemiology Training Program since 2014.
Dr. Ezzine began her career in 2002 as a physician in a rural area of Morocco. In 2007, she advanced to head the epidemiology unit in Salé, overseeing diseases surveillance and response to outbreaks and other public health emergencies, including zoonoses. By 2015, she had moved to the Directorate of Epidemiology and Disease Control, where she led the Epidemic Diseases Department. Her responsibilities included managing public health emergencies preparedness and response, overseeing various health programs such as zoonoses, influenza, and antimicrobial resistance, and conducting self-assessments of the International Health Regulations core capacities implementation. She also played a key role in the Joint External Evaluation conducted in Morocco in 2016.
In 2020, Dr. Ezzine transitioned from the Ministry of Health, where she had successfully implemented the Public Health Emergency Operations Centers and Rapid Response Teams, serving as the national focal point. She then joined the Learning Solutions and Training at World Health Organization as a Public Health Capacity Building Consultant, where she supports the development of the rapid response teams training program and conducts training, including One Health, in countries in need.
