Short Bio
Helene is a researcher in epidemiology. After her completing her veterinary diploma, she did a PhD in spatial epidemiology. Employed by Cirad, the French Agricultural Research Center for International Development, she has been working on zoonotic and/or vector-borne diseases for over 20 years, and on One Health approaches in low and middle income countries in the last 10 years. She was hosted by Institut Pasteur of Madagascar for 6 years (2015-21) and then 3 years by Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (2021-2024). She developped One Health approaches to identify risk factors associated with zoonoses, assessing knowledge, attitudes and practices towards zoonoses, and modelling the spatial and temporal distribution of diseases or their vectors.
