Short Bio
Recent Health Sciences graduate from Howard University with a profound interest in the public health field and a particular interest in global health and the study of mental health concerning underrepresented communities. I have had extensive experience with data analysis, communication, Microsoft Office, Outlook, administrative assistance, and public relations, and limited experience with R Studio. Along with these experiences, I have been fortunate enough to work in clinical settings as well which has strengthened my communication skills with patients and my peers while aiding me in navigating different healthcare systems and settings. Proficient experience in health promotion and education while reaching out to different communities other than my own. Substantial experience in program administration, state and local government policies and regulations, and communications and social marketing. Hoping to gain more experience working in public health on the federal, state, non-profit, and global levels. My goal throughout my career is to work on eradicating hindrances that worsen minorities’ mental health such as substance abuse, low economic status, and racial inequity.
