Dr. Flavie Goutard is a recognized veterinarian and epidemiologist with over 20 years of experience in infectious disease epidemiology, specializing in community-based surveillance and the One Health approach. Her work emphasizes the development of participatory surveillance systems that empower local communities to actively identify and manage health risks at the human-animal-environment interface, making health systems more resilient and responsive.
Based in Hanoi, Vietnam, Dr. Goutard leads the CIRAD-GREASE research platform and serves as the CIRAD focal point for the PREZODE initiative. She fosters multi-sectoral collaboration to prevent zoonotic diseases and emerging health threats, integrating the perspectives of local communities, scientific experts, and policymakers.
