Short Bio

I am a Bolivian veterinarian whose work focuses on community-based surveillance mechanisms and research (formal and participatory research) for early detection of pathogens at the animal/human/environment interface in the Bolivian Amazon. I got trainings on international One Health, conservation medicine policy and practice; health of aquatic and terrestrial wildlife and ecosystems; and participatory research for development. I got to coordinate different OH projects in Bolivia, including the Emerging Pandemic Threat Program - PREDICT. Currently, I am the One Health Technical Advisor for the “One Health Amazonia project" in Bolivia, which is part of the GIZ Global Program for Prevention and Response of Pandemies – One Health (GVPPOH).
