Short Bio

I am a dedicated Medical Doctor with a robust passion for and commitment to public health, disease control, and capacity building. My tenure at the Ministry of Public Health in Qatar coincided with two of the nation's most pivotal events: the COVID-19 pandemic and FIFA World Cup 2022. During these critical times, I played a key role in COVID-19 case investigations at the community level, leading these efforts within educational institutions to manage effective communication and response strategies.
I had the honor of co-leading the capacity-building team for the Mass Gathering Early Warning, Alert, and Response System during the World Cup. In this role, I was pivotal in assessing training needs, as well as designing, implementing, and evaluating capacity-building programs for national surveillance teams. My leadership extended to representing our team at the National Health Incident Command Center and the Public Health Emergency Operations Center, where I contributed to the design and execution of national simulation exercises.
I served as project coordinator for the IBBS & CDRP with MOPH and Qatar Foundation. And external consultant to implement the Competency Needs Assessment for Public Health Emergency Management among health and non-health stakeholders in Qatar.

My international experience includes significant contributions to public health projects in Uganda, where I engaged in evaluation projects that enhanced local health initiatives.

In addition, I am enriching my expertise through an internship with the Eastern Mediterranean Public Health Network (EMPHNET), focusing on Field Epidemiology Training Programs (FETP) and One Health interventions. I have also recently completed an advanced pandemic preparedness Sumer school at Antwerp university furthering my dedication to public health education and innovation.
