Short Bio
Following my Public Health studies at the University of Maastricht, I am passionate about public health on an European and multidisciplinary scale. During my PhD at the University Hospital in Munich, I have been working in Cardiology and clinical research, as a project manager for large-scale clinical trials, focused on digital health/telemedicine and cardiovascular health outcomes. Currently, I am working as a postdoctoral researcher at the Unit of Environmental Epidemiology, Department of Environmental Medicine (IMM) at Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. Within the Stockholm Environmental Health Program, my main research activities center around (mapping) environmental health inequities, as well as the link between environmental hazards (e.g. air pollution, traffic noise, greenness, temperature, crowded housing) and relevant health outcomes in children and adults. My interest lies within the connection of the environment, urbanisation and health. Also, I am a One Health enthusiast and intend to incorporate this more into my future research and teaching. I am always happy to collaborate and open for conversations on the aforementioned topics, so please do not hesitate to reach out.
