Dr. Elena Lucia Sassu is a veterinarian and infectious disease expert at AGES (National Reference Laboratory Coordination Team), where she coordinates zoonotic influenza surveillance in wild birds and domestig pigs. With a PhD in infection immunology and experience at the IAEA, she has experience in immunological methods and epidemiology. Dr. Sassu is a dedicated advocate for the One Health approach, conducting multi-stakeholder workshops to address global health challenges through cross-sector collaboration.
