Short Bio
Christianah Oki is a parasitologist and conservation biologist with five years of experience in wildlife conservation, biodiversity, and combating neglected tropical diseases (NTDs). She holds a M.Sc. in Zoology (Parasitology) and a B. Sc. in Biology. Her expertise and commitment to neglected tropical diseases make her an invaluable asset in the ongoing quest to eliminate NTDs. Christianah worked as a Program Officer at the One Health and Development Initiative, where she championed interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative solutions to promote the health of ecosystems, wildlife, and humans. Christianah has demonstrated exceptional research skills and has had impactful publications in conservation biology and parasitology. Her work has not only expanded scientific knowledge but has also earned her prestigious awards/grants. Her adeptness in project planning and coordination has enabled the successful implementation of relevant programs. At the same time, her commitment to capacity building and training has empowered local stakeholders to participate in conservation efforts. Christianah's passion for community engagement and education is evident through her involvement in school and community outreach activities and organizing impactful events. She is an advocate for UN SDGs 3 (Good Health and Well-being), 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), 13 (Climate Action), 14 (Life Below Water), and 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities).
