Short Bio
As an undergraduate at Cambridge University I studied Veterinary Medicine, intercalating to gain a bachelor's degree in Zoology with an emphasis on population dynamics and evolution in 2014. After graduating with my veterinary degree in 2017, I spent three years working as a veterinary surgeon in clinical practice. I returned to university in 2020 to study a human-oriented master's by research in Epidemiology at Newcastle University. During my MRes I focused on infectious diseases and global health, including modelling the impacts of COVID-19 control measures on other communicable diseases. In 2021 I started my PhD studentship at Edinburgh modelling antimicrobial resistance epidemiology from a One Health perspective using System Dynamics, supervised by Dominic Moran, Andy Peters and Adrian Muwonge. I have a broad range of academic and non-academic interests and am drawn to both the interdisciplinary nature of One Health research and the vital importance of its aims.
