Short Bio
Dr. Anne S. Clay is an environmental social scientist with a doctorate in Environmental Science and Policy. Her research examines perspectives on animal welfare and conservation tradeoffs as well as the practical applications of compassionate conservation to wildlife management practices. Dr. Clay coordinates interdisciplinary initiatives that explore the interconnections between ecosystem, wildlife, and human health and well-being. She is interested in promoting coexistence within multispecies geographies by including (non)human animal subjectivities in wildlife research and practice.
