Short Bio
I grew up in a small village in Saarland, Germany, where my early interest in animals and agriculture led me to pursue a career as a veterinarian. I currently work as an Advisor for the GIZ project One Health and Agroecology, focusing on technical. Since joining GIZ in 2021, I have worked with the Sector Initiative One Health and the Global Programme Pandemic Prevention and Response, providing technical and policy advice on Pandemic Preparedness and Response, Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR), Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), One Health Governance, and Veterinary Public Health. Before that, I did research on biocide susceptibility of bacteria and worked with NGOs such as Vétérinaires sans Frontières Germany and Naturschutzbund Germany. My passion for nature began early. I organised forest waste cleanups as a child and now enjoy hiking in the mountains, where I find inspiration in alpine flora and fauna. I’m driven by the need to address complex problems at their root and creating integrative solutions that support the long-term wellbeing of all life forms.
